Sophie Hatton

Sophie lived and worked in London straight from University, working in Marketing and Events for 10 years. It was injury and pregnancy that led her to Pilates in 2002 and she was hooked from day one. Enjoying the movement, strengthening and mental focus that went with it. Addicted from day one, 19 years later her passion for Pilates has grown from one of student to teacher.

In 2017, she completed her fully comprehensive training under second generation Pilates teacher, Kirk Smith, at the Classical Pilates Centre in Cheshire. Kirk’s training course is set up to teach teachers how to deliver Pilates the way it was developed by Joseph Pilates himself. The course, developed by Kirk involved 15 days training/100 guided hours, 600 apprenticeship hours and on-going apprenticeship hours. Sophie is dedicated to learning, training and sharing.

Sophie opened her own studio and created a calm, sophisticated, contemporary  space - Pilates Works was launched in February 2019 and quickly established itself as the first Classical Pilates equipment studio in Sefton and Merseyside. She is committed to helping you make that time for you - to feel better, to move better and to look better.

Her love of organising and event planning added to her passion for Pilates, good food and inspiring interior spaces makes her progression into high end Pilates retreats a very natural one.
