Louise Franks

Louise completed her comprehensive classical Pilates training in 2018 under Kirk James Smith at the Classical Pilates Centre in Cheshire.

A lifelong exercise enthusiast, she began in competitive athletics at the age of 8 and has maintained an active lifestyle ever since.  A personal interest in the workings of the human mind and body lead to her completing her degree in Human Biology with Psychology and Sociology in 2009.  She continues her passion for learning about all aspects of wellness spending free time deepening her knowledge of Pilates, physiology, positive psychology and nutrition and cultivating daily meditation practices.

She began Pilates in 2015 after having her two children, looking for something different from the normal gym routine. Soon introduced to the classical method she was hooked, relishing the new physical and mental challenges it presented and the profound positive effects she felt on her body.

Louise has extensive experience teaching the classical method in groups on reformers and the mat, as well as one-to-one tailored Pilates lessons.  Based in Glasgow, she has a fully equipped private studio, teaches group classes via zoom for Pilates Works and continues to teach group equipment classes.
